Nihar is a World Music Fusion Keyboardist/Composer with a passion for creating unique and innovative music. His journey started with Indian Classical (Hindustani) music, after which he got hooked on to Classical & Jazz. His flare for understanding the intricacies of music for visual media led him to the famed Berklee College of Music in  Boston where he majored in Film Scoring.

In Los Angeles, California he interned and assisted composer/music supervisor Frank Fitzpatrick (Scary Movie 3 & 4, Big Mamma 2). In Indian cinema, he’s worked on major film releases including Mohandas, Mere Baap Phele Aap, 10 ml Love, Sivaji. Morey Sawariya by Sony/BMG Music, Super Secret - Buddha by WiredPlanet Music (NYC) are some of the popular Fusion based albums he has Produced.

 

Apart from his compositional career he has toured and collaborated with many eminent artists and ensembles including Trilok Gurtu (Germany), Luminous (NYC), and India’s Dr. L.Subramanium, Hariprasad Chaurasia, Mandolin U Srinivas, Sivamani, Ranjit Barot.

 

Nihar's style is an always evolving blend of different cultures, genres along with roots in indian music, which makes it stand out and connect with people from all walks of life. He believes that music has the power to bring people together and spread joy and positivity in the world.
